Operating company
TAJIRO Kobo Co., Ltd., which manages Roji Ura Journey, develops various art-related activities (gallery, painting sales, art education, floral work). The arts education sector, which is the mainstay of our school, has a history of about 40 years and we have opened more than 20 schools all over the country. By combining the pedagogical know-how and the experience accumulated in our school with craftsmen and artists from Uji, we can firmly transmit the “heart of the craft” of craftsmen, in order to enhance this know-how and allow participants a real immersion. We create experiences to rediscover oneself, this is where the concept of Roji Ura Journey lies.

Roji Ura Journey is not just a platform that just compiles experiences on Uji. With the concept of “Travel local”, we carefully create content while organizing in-depth and ongoing meetings with artists and artisans in order to constantly improve what we offer. Our approach also takes into consideration the needs and demands of craftsmen, who are above all creators who take advantage of their free time to share their know-how.
